Race Information

This all-female event features a 1-mile, 5K & 10K walk/run through beautiful Ashland. 1-mile/5K/10K Walk/Run starts at 10am MAy 22nd, rain or shine (or snow...chilled Chick-uamegon)

Packet pick-up and registration:
  • Thursday, May 20, Friday, May 21, 9am to 5pm at the Ashland Chamber office, 1716 West Lake Shore Dr, Ashland.
  • Saturday, May 22nd, at the pavillon behind the Bretting Community Center, 400 4th Ave West, Ashland   5K/10K 8:30am to 9:30am (prices go up on Saturday)
2021 Race Registration Fee:  
  • 1-mile/5K/10K $15 until May 21. Race day $25.
Shirts:  Due to Covid –19 we are not selling a new shirt, we are just using the inventory we have.

Face masks or coverings are mandatory until the race has started.
Chicks will be social distanced at the start.
Registration now open Race:
  • Start line for the race is behind the Bretting Center/Bay Area Civic Center in the Central Railyard Park.
  • Start time is at 10am

In place of tiaras and medals, each finishing chick will receive a $5 Chamber Dollar Certificate to be spent in our community, at Bricks and Mortar Chamber Member Businesses.  Ashland Retailers will have specials.

Prizes will be given away to;
  • 3 places for Blingest or Best Costume ( $50/$25/$25 in Chamber Dollars);
  • Blingest Face mask ($25 in Chamber Dollars);
  • Blingest Shoes/Sneakers/Boots/whatever is on your feet ($25 in Chamber Dollars);
  • Best Dressed Volunteer ($20);  All Guys doing the Water Stations and Crossing Guards!
  • 3 random drawings (each $20 in Chamber Dollars)

For insurance purposes:
  • Everyone participating must be a paid participant of the race wearing an official bib or they will be directed to leave the course.
  • NO animals, rollerskates, roller skis, inline skates, bikes or carriages of any kind allowed to participate in the Chick-uamegon.  For your own safety and for those around you, these are NOT allowed. If you are caught on the course with any of these, you will be directed off the route.
  • Persons under 18 years of age must have a parent’s signed consent.
